Crestwood Cares About St. Felix Centre and Covenant House

On November 27th, 2018, Crestwood Cares launched a drive to collect money to be donated in the form of holiday gifts to the women sheltered at the St. Felix Centre and money to be donated to Covenant House.
Thanks to the generosity of the Crestwood Community, Crestwood Cares collected $ 2460. 00.  This enabled Crestwood Cares to purchase gifts in the amount of $ 1043. 65 for the women of St. Felix Centre. These included matching scarves, hats and gloves, chocolates, small purses, candles,  Visa gift cards and bracelets all packaged in tupperware storage containers. In addition, we provided St Felix Centre with a $400.00 contribution towards their holiday festivities. Crestwood School will also be sending a donation of $ 1000.00 to Covenant House on behalf of Crestwood Cares.
This afternoon, (Wednesday, December 19th,), Joy Badler and I had the pleasure of representing the Crestwood community by delivering gifts to the women of the St. Felix Centre.  Needless to say, these gifts were greeted with much happiness and appreciation.
Crestwood Cares would like to express appreciation to Mrs. Paris and her student beading club for their kind donation of the beaded bracelets and to Mrs. Liebenthal for her donation of two Cookie Christmas trees for the St Felix Christmas celebration. Most of all we would like thank the parents, students and staff of Crestwood School for making this extremely meaningful initiative possible.  In delivering the gifts this afternoon, it was very clear to Mrs. Badler and I that these gifts meant the world to the people of the St Felix Centre.
