Girls BBall Flying into Finals

The U12 Girls Basketball picked up two wins this week. We traveled to Pickering College on Monday, October 15th for their 5th game of the season! The girls were eager and ready to play from the sound of the first buzzer. Once again, it was a close game throughout, but the Crestwood Cubs managed to maintain the lead for almost the entire game. Finally, in the last shift of the game, our defence stepped it up a notch, and our offence took over, finally pulling ahead for the win. The final score was 26-21. A special thanks to our fans that drove out to Newmarket to cheer us on! We are focused and ready to continue to improve and succeed as a team. Go Crestwood!

Yesterday the U12 Girls came out strong against Havergal for their 7th and final game of the season. They showed how hard they have been working and demonstrated what the Crestwood U12 Girls Team is all about: crisp passes, quick ball movement and dominant rebounding. By the second half, the girls were up 22-12 and continued their excellent team play, working on help defence, taking smart shots and getting open on the court. The Cubs maintained the lead throughout the game with a final score of 40-19. The team is looking forward to their last week of practices and the CISAA Tournament on Saturday, October 27th.

Congratulations to the team on a great regular season!
