1) University Admissions Representatives Visits at Crestwood

2) Volunteer Opportunities
In order to graduate, all students must complete 40 hours of community service. It is recommended that students complete this requirement prior to entering grade 12.  A great resource of volunteer opportunities in the Toronto area is the website www.volunteertoronto.ca which allows students to search for opportunities available specifically for high school students. The following organizations are currently looking for volunteers:

1)Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO)-Family Sunday Volunteers
 

Earn your volunteer hours credit and meet new friends in a crafty, fun-filled space! In this volunteer role, you’ll help welcome and support our Family visitors with young children on busy Sundays. Mainly, you’ll help run arts and crafts and activity-based stations (i.e. giant building blocks). Our activities change on a monthly basis, and are inspired by our current exhibitions.  Find our more, here: https://ago.ca/family-sundays

Commitment:  8 hours per month. This is a biweekly placement (you will be asked to join us two Sundays per month, on a regular, rotating schedule, from 12:30pm – 4:30pm). Family Sundays begin October 28, and run through to May 2019.

2) The Volunteer Toronto Youth Expo – Sunday October 21, 2018 

The Volunteer Toronto Youth Expo is an annual event that connects high school students to non-profits looking for volunteers. Various positions are available and interested students should visit the website for more information and to register.  Youth Expo
