Soccer

The Senior Boys Soccer team played the Mississauga High School Senior Tournament this week.

The Lions were placed in group C along the strong teams of Lester B Pearson High School and North Park and Abbey Park Secondary Schools.
Our boys played a strong first game against Lester B Pearson High School and were able to keep their goal clean until the last 10 minutes of the game when the physically strong Lester Pearson team found the net 3 times.
The second game was a more disputed game when a fast counterattack was finished with a goal and a promposal celebration from John Mainprize. North Park secondary came back really strong after conceding the goal and took the lead with two consecutive goals from corner kicks.
The third and last game of the tournament was against Abbey Park SS and Crestwood took the lead after a great combination goal scored by Spencer Cohen. The boys successfully defended the lead until the last 5 min of the game when Abbey Park were able to score two great goals. The team had a good tournament facing strong teams which will be participating in OFSAA at the end if the month.
Great job Lions!
