The Grade 3 classes visited the Young People’s Theater this week. We started the morning by watching a live performance of James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. The technical production, the incredible acting and the wonderful music dazzled us. After watching the play, the Grade 3’s participated in a drama workshop led by one of the professional actors at the theater. We learned about how to make our “voices heard” through movement, body language, and projection of emotion. The classes were divided into mini groups where they created tableaux scenes based on the play. A great day was had by all.
