The OFSAA Swim Championship Qualifiers

Congratulations to Megan Pearlman, Matthew Laslop, Will Magan, and Jack Magan; CPC’s four OFSAA Swim Championship qualifiers!

The meet was hosted at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre, and took place over the past two days. There were over 2000 athletes in attendance! All four swimmers had a fantastic meet, posting extremely fast times!
Jack did a great job at his first ever championship meet, posting a strong 100 free time on Wednesday. His older brother Will, qualified for finals in both his races, and went a personal best every time he swam. He broke 26 seconds in his 50 free, placing 9th, and broke 1 minute in his 100 free, placing 10th. Amazing job, Magan Brothers!
Matthew swam the gruelling 200 IM on Wednesday morning, and posted a fast enough time to qualify for finals in the afternoon. He swam 7 tenths faster, and earned himself 12th place. Well done Matthew, your first OFSAA experience was a success!
Megan always swims an exciting race. On Tuesday, she swam a personal best in the 100 breaststroke, earning herself 5th place, and a coveted OFSAA ribbon. She pushed through the pain and tiredness on Wednesday morning as she swam her 200 IM. She once again qualified for finals, and earned another 5th place finish.
The whole swim team is proud of your achievements, and your coaches are so impressed by your efforts and results. Congratulations!
