At Crestwood, technology is more than a subject—it’s a hands-on, real-world learning experience. Our programs blend creativity, technical skill, and innovation, giving students the tools and knowledge they need to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital world. From professional media production to computer engineering and robotics, students work with industry-standard equipment and software, including 3D printing technology, professional photography and videography gear, and the Adobe Creative Suite. Whether they’re designing a website, programming a robot, producing a film, or editing a photo series, our students graduate with practical skills, a professional portfolio, and the confidence to take on future academic and career challenges.

Academics in Technology
Crestwood’s Technology Department offers a progression of courses in Communications Technology and Computer Engineering Technology that let students explore their interests while building marketable skills. Students learn photography, video and audio production, graphic design, animation, robotics, computer programming, and network systems. Through project-based learning, they work individually and in teams to design, produce, and troubleshoot creative and technical solutions. With pathways to post-secondary programs in media, design, engineering, and technology, our courses prepare students to excel in the industries of tomorrow.

Technology Clubs & Extracurriculars
Outside the classroom, students can take their learning further through technology-focused clubs and teams. The Robotics Club gives students the opportunity to design, build, and program robots for competitions, while the Photography/Yearbook Club allows them to capture school life, events, and sports with a professional creative touch. These groups foster teamwork, innovation, and leadership—while giving students extra opportunities to work with the same professional tools and equipment used in industry.

Festival of the Arts and Technology
Student achievement in technology comes to life at our Festival of the Arts and Technology—a school-wide celebration where creativity meets innovation. From short films and photography exhibitions to interactive media, robotics demonstrations, and 3D-printed designs, the festival highlights the incredible range of talent in our Technology Department. It’s a chance for students to share their projects with peers, parents, and the wider community, and for the community to see first-hand how Crestwood is preparing students for success in creative and technical fields.
