Girls Basketball battles CDS

The Crestwood Girl’s basketball team hit the hardwood for their first basketball game of the season against Country Day School. After a slow start to the game, the Crestwood Cougars battled back! – led by Maya Shapiro’s lights out shooting and the teams’ tenacious defence. Senior History – Guest Speaker

Students in Mr. Masters’ senior history classes had the opportunity to meet Al Wallace this past week. Born in 1920, Al grew up in Depression-era Toronto; when the war began he enlisted in the RCAF, where he was trained as an air gunner. Grade 3 Meets Daisy

The Grade 3 classes had a visit from the Milk Marketing Board this past Monday.  A Dairy Farmer representative came into Crestwood School with her pet cow Daisy.  Daisy the inflatable cow demonstrated how cows are milked and we learned that each cow can produce 30L of milk per day…that’s a lot of delicious milk!

Grade 11 and 12 parents are asked to set aside time during the evening of Thursday, October 2nd, 2014 for our University Application Workshop beginning at 7:00 pm in the cafeteria. The guidance team will review the application process and address how parents can best assist their children at home.
