Crestwood Swims

This year’s swim season was by far the best Crestwood has had. The ladies are to be congratulated for a great season. In a remarkable swim this week, Caiti Skain won first place in the 100m freestyle event as well as second place in the 50m freestyle event, qualifying in both for the OFSAA championship.

The winter season is almost over but the competition is heating up with Crestwood sports. Crestwood captures U12 Basketball Crown

On February 23rd, Crestwood’s U12 basketball team traveled to King City to compete in the final tournament of their season. The boys entered the playoffs as underdogs, but came out as champions defeating Crescent School in the tournament final. The U12 Basketball Team’s season comes to an end on Saturday with the final tournament hosted by Country Day School. After a long season the bballers finished with a 3rd place ranking overall. Although they will be missing key players Jack Hendry and Cole Marotta coach Conn believes we have a strong chance to contend.

Sears Drama Festival

On Monday February 24th, Crestwood is once again participating in The Sears Drama Festival! This year we are presenting an orignal piece by our own grade 12 student Jake Pascoe entitled “My Rose”; a story about a young woman with Autism who is struggling to connect to the outside world while searching for her father.

Black History Month

On Tuesday, February 18th, Crestwood was proud to host Black History Month performances by local black musicians John T Davis, Shelley Hamilton and Shaun Boothe.  Through a blend of live performance, historical narrative and interactive presentations, Crestwood students were enlightened as to the historic role of music in black communities in their quest for freedom

Grade 7 Niagara Trip

Writing Workshops

The Crestwood English department will be hosting upcoming workshops to help students who are struggling with particular writing issues. While extra help is beneficial for assignment-specific questions, these sessions will help develop students’ overall writing ability and will prove to help enhance students’ writing across all subject areas. Students will be encouraged by their teachers

Kiwanis Arts Festival

Thank you bakers, makers and helpers for your delicious valentines themed goodies for the PA’s bake sale on Tuesday. Eco Update

December and January have been busy months for Crestwood’s Eco Team. Over the Holidays and into this Second Term at school, our Eco Team members have been busy collecting used holiday and greeting cards from family, friends and staff. Everyone pitched in, and in the end we collected over 400 cards! These cards will be recycled
