At Crestwood, our Physical Education program strives to encourage students in all the areas that make up a healthy individual. Through various individual and group activities, our students are exposed to a variety of learning situations; problem solving, cooperation, fitness, skill development and competition are but a few of them.

The curriculum includes a compulsory Physical education program for all students beginning in Junior Kindergarten. In addition, intramural and extramural team sports are offered as an option to all students beginning in Grade 4.

Intramural sports such as soccer, beachball volleyball, basketball, broomball, floor hockey and baseball are scheduled during the lunch hour.

Extramural teams compete against other schools in cross-country running, floor hockey, ice hockey, soccer, basketball, softball, volleyball, and badminton.

Team sports afford the students the opportunity to gain experience in a particular sport as well as develop the skills of cooperation and competition.

Most of all, we encourage our students to have “organized fun” and develop to the best of their ability.
