This year the art committee’s enthusiasm and dedication has been keeping them busy without rest!
The first backdrop of the year was a great success during the grade 1 production. Congratulations to the very talented art committee!
Looking forward to seeing the beautiful programs that are being currently designed for the winter music concert!
The Art students in grades 5, 6 and 7 will be celebrating this fall season by creating scarecrows to decorate the school.
This project is eco-friendly and we need your help in supplying some of the materials.
In order to build out creations we could use some of the following. The pictures below are just some ideas to get us started. Please drop any and all donated materials starting tomorrow in the art room!
-Old shirts (dress shirts, plaid, T-shirts, dresses, etc.)
-Ms. Anya Romanenko
A short note is required in order to recognize the amazing work of the Crestwood School Art Committee on the latest “Garage Band” stage set for the Grade One play. This group of boys and girls continuously sacrifice their free time to assist with special events throughout the school year. They did a great job on this particular project and were also able to try spray painting for the first time! A big thank you from the Crestwood community.
The Grade 6 students have been working on creating their self portraits. In order to help them through the process we were lucky to have Aino Anto a very talented artist and illustrator come in to run a workshop on how to use criticism as a tool. Students were given the opportunity to share their work and learn how beneficial constructive criticism can be when used properly. As a result students were able to make their work better as well as understand and appreciate the work of others. We are grateful for this wonderful experience!
Art Committee has been working hard on a set for the Grade 2 Musical. Looking forward to the end result!
Artist of the month is Chloe Wertkin! Congratulations, you have created beautiful, magical work!
