Anti-Bullying Week at CPC

This week it was great to see so many CPC students and staff getting involved in Anti-Bullying activities going on throughout the week.  We kicked off the week with Odd Sock Day.
Odd Sock Day was started in England a few years ago to send the message that we are all unique in our own way  and that is something to be celebrated.   Everyone deserves to feel safe and welcome, especially at school.  Tuesday all the students enjoyed Anti-Bullying cookies during the morning break.  Wednesday and Friday were Pink Shirt Day.  We have Pink Shirt Day to show people that we will Speak Up – we will not be a bully nor will we stand by and watch someone else bullying another person.  Pink Shirt Day was inspired by two Nova Scotia youth who rallied fellow students and teachers at their high school to wear pink in support of a younger student who had been bullied for wearing a pink shirt to class earlier in the week.  And Thursday was pink mask, hat and hair day.  Check out some pictures from the week.
