Grade 5’s to Provincial Legislature

On Friday, November 1st, many of my Grade 5 friends and I travelled to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. It was so much fun! We learned about how Ontario bills are passed and made into laws. It was very interesting! We were able to debate about whether it should be a law for Crestwood School students to wear uniforms. There were strong arguments for both sides. It was so awesome! We also got a tour of the provincial parliament building and talked about the provincial government and how it works. The building was gigantic and very old! The men and women that worked at the building were very kind and informative. Everyone who attended this field trip enjoyed learning about our Provincial Legislature. I hope we can go again sometime soon.
