The U12 Soccer team opened the 2014 – 15 season as defending champions against UCC at Glendon field. In a tight opening half our guest created the better scoring opportunities and deservedly went into the half-time break a goal to the good.
Eight substitutions made during the break to restart the second half gave Crestwood some energy on the large Glendon playing surface. Unfortunately UCC were in good form and stretched their lead to 4.
Eight more substitutions for the final ten minutes changed the game around. Crestwood now attacked with quality and purpose, scoring 2 goals. Time was against the resurgent Crestwood team, who also hit the post and saw the ball scrambled off the UCC goal line.
Final Score Crestwood 2 – 4 UCC.
