Protecting the Past @pioneervillage

On Thursday, the Grade 3’s got to travel back in time to the 19th Century and discover the everyday lives and challenges of different communities that lived and worked in Ontario. During our virtual visit to the Black Creek Pioneer Village we got to learn more about the food, clothing, education, recreation and work, and the roles of the children. Our trip leader was in a General Store that was actually built in the 19th Century, where he showed us different games and toys that children used to play with back in the day. We even got to come to class dressed like the Pioneers did back in the 19th Century. Check out our outfits below! What a wonderful virtual trip and fantastic way to wrap up this unit!

Great job Grade 3! Keep up the good work!
