Grandparents Breakfast

On Monday, April 23, Crestwood will be celebrating its 3rd Annual Veterans/Grandparents Breakfast. When the school was started, the Grandparents’ Breakfast was among our first traditions, so Crestwood grandparents could visit the school and spend some time and breakfast with their grandchildren. Three years ago, we combined the Grandparents’ Breakfast with the Oral History Project.

Happy Birthday John A. Macdonald

Recently, students enrolled in Grade 8 History at Crestwood Preparatory College have been studying the life of John A. Macdonald, Canada’s first Prime Minister. To celebrate Macdonald’s 197th birthday, students held a birthday party during junior lunch on Wednesday, January 11, where they shared the posters, skits, speeches and games they created in Macdonald’s honour.

Freddie Hamilton, Dougie Hamilton and Jamie Oleksiak, three former Crestwood Preparatory College students, earned spots on Canada’s Junior Team that will compete in the upcoming World Championships starting on December 26th in Calgary and Edmonton.
