The Power of Pink

Dear Parents,

A few weeks ago, Crestwood students took part in an assembly during which they saw a performance, “The Power of One”, in which actors presented skits to vividly portray what bullying is, what can be done about it and how every child has “The Power of One”….. the power to report and deal with bullying when they see it. They learned about the roles in bullying: the bully, the target, the bystander and the upstander and they were shown examples of different types of bullying: physical, verbal, exclusion and cyber-bullying,

Wednesday, February 28th is Pink Shirt Day and all students and staff will be given a pink t-shirt to wear to symbolize that we, as a society, will not tolerate bullying of any kind.

The Grade 4 classes will be doing a presentation for the rest of the school.

Students do NOT need to wear their uniforms to school that day.

Thank you!
